FAFSA Help Sessions – Fall 2021

FAFSA Help Sessions are going to be virtual again this fall. The feedback from last year's sessions was very positive and our goal remains the same. We want people to get the information and personalized support they need to successfully file the FAFSA.

With that goal in mind, here is the plan:

  • Starting October 5, statewide Virtual FAFSA Help Sessions will be held via Zoom throughout the month of October. Registration is required!

  • Registrants will be sent resources in advance to help them be prepared to file a FAFSA that evening.

  • The sessions will consist of two parts:

  • First, FAME staff will provide a short overview. We’ll share information about how the event will work and then we’ll answer the most commonly asked FAFSA questions.

  • After the short overview (approximately 15 minutes) individual families will be moved to their own private Zoom breakout room where they can get private one-on-one help from a FAME FAFSA expert.

  • FAME staff will be assigned to specific breakout rooms and will move in and out of the breakout rooms to check in with the families, answer their questions, and provide support.

  • After the event, additional resources will be sent to let them know what happens next.

Registration is now open! Students and families can register here.

Please let us know if you have any questions. And thank you for helping us spread the word!
