Ployes

We took a field trip to the Bouchard Family Farm where buckwheat flour is grown, harvested, and ultimately converted into their world famous "Ploye Mix."

Meg and Kim show what they learned in this PowerPoint Presentation on Ployes.

 In the first picture a student holds the buckwheat hull.  In the second picture, the hull has been removed.  Discarded hulls are recycled and put into the soil as fertilizer.
Mrs. Janice Bouchard is busy making ployes for all three classes.
