Students worked in groups to gather their growing information
into organized thought. The acrostic poem seemed to be a catalyst for
bringing the information on Acadia together.

OBJECTIVE:
Cooperatively, students will write an acrostic poem using information
learned in previous lessons on the Acadians.
MATERIALS:
handout and pencil
ACTIVITIES:
As a group, students will brainstorm for words that will describe the
Acadians as they complete their acrostic poem.
