Provisional Certificate
The provisional certificate is a two-year certificate given to individuals just graduating from a teacher preparation program. A mentor will be assigned to the professional candidate.
Upon completion of a pre-approved teacher action plan and success in
compiling archival evidence of performance meeting Maine's teaching
standards, the professional candidate will be recommended for
professional certification.
